"Rothko"
Rothko is a lovely 4yo Oldenburg gelding, 17.1hh, grey. By Oldenburg stallion Ruffian, his grandsire is Rubenstein, and he is out of a Holsteiner mare. Undersaddle since January 09, Rothko is a delightful, well-mannered, calm and trainable horse, reflecting his Rubenstein lineage in his gaits and temperament. He has a ground-covering trot and canter and a clean, clear walk. He is extremely amenable and seeks to please. A pleasure in the barn with no vices. He is pretty darn confident and un-spooky for a horse of his age and experience. He hacks calmly around the farm, lunges, cross ties, trailers and can walk, trot and canter on the bit and in a natural uphill balance with a supple, soft connection. His owner, a professional, bought him as a 2yo for herself but is now moving and is looking for the perfect person to bring Rothko to his full potential. Could be a super dressage horse or perhaps an eventer/jumper. Works confidently over ground poles but hasn't jumped yet due to his large size at a young age. Has been worked slowly and consistently for the last two months. Easy and uncomplicated, attractive. 14yo 16.2hh TB Gelding shown 3rd level with scores in the 60's, schooling 4th level. Extremely comfortable to ride. Great temperment, no vices. Really nice to be around in the barn. Would be ideal for experienced rider who wants to really perfect their mid-level dressage or would also excel in the low hunters. Not a cross country star, but loves his ring work! "Tango" 9yo, 16.1hh KWPN by Metall (Olympic Ferro) out of Contango mare. Started a bit late in his professional dressage career, Tango show enormous potential and character. He regularly receives an 8 for gaits, and has been showing training level with most scores in high 60's/low 70's. Alot of horse in a small package, suitable for an ambitious and somewhat experienced AA or young rider, or could be a professionals horse. Does well with someone who can confidently ride him forward and up into the bridle, but can also happily go around quietly for more green riders. He's easy off the leg and soft in the mouth. Big gaited for a small horse. A bit green as this is his first year of regular showing, but with a bit of mileage will really be a rock star. Has a charming personality, but his one vice is cribbing. Former event horse for young rider, through Training, switched to dressage, showed 1st level winning most with high 60's, low 70's. For good amateur, not sluggish, comfortable to sit.
